Teenager Shot on Monroe Street Friday

The 17-year-old boy was hospitalized while police found a blood trail leading to a nearby house.

EVANSTON, IL - A 17-year-old Evanston boy was shot in the leg Friday afternoon on Monroe Street, according to an Evanston Now report. 

He was shot in the 1600 block of the street around 12:30 p.m. and taken to Presence Saint Francis Hospital, where he is expected to survive. 

A blood trail led from where the victim was shot to a residence on that block, but a police search did not reveal any guns.
