Mayor Fires Back at TV Show's Notion That Evanston is Conservative

Mayor Tisdahl had a quick reaction to Sunday's episode of "The Good Wife."

Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl took a recent online jab against the writers of a CBS drama that recently depicted the city as a conservative hotbed.

The Evanston Review captured a tweet the mayor sent following Sunday’s episode of “The Good Wife” - a plotline that included robocalls being made to Evanston residents “painting an opponent of character Alicia Florrick in the campaign for Cook County state’s attorney as a supporter of gay rights.”

“@GoodWifeWriters #Evanston is not the conservative place ref. in Sunday episode. We welcome all, even uninformed TV writers #TheGoodWife,” Tisdahl’s tweet reads.
