EVANSTON, IL — Valentine's Day will be here before you know it, but that doesn't mean you have to venture beyond Evanston to find a romantic spot to take your sweetie.

We recently asked Evanston Patch readers to weigh in on their favorite restaurants to take a date on Valentine's Day. Here are their suggestions:

Found Kitchen, 1631 Chicago Ave.
Owner Amy Morton's farm-to-table restaurant is offering a special Valentine's Day tasting menu on Sunday and Monday. The $68-per-person meal starts with a cucumber yuzu Fanny Bay oyster shooter, follows with a roasted red beat and rapini, a shaved fennel and citrus salad, a choice of monkfish, eggplant and lamb shank entrees and a panna cotta dessert. Past menu items recommended by readers include the chicken liver mouse with duck fat top.

Campagnola, 815 Chicago Ave.
Chef Vince DiBattista offers a menu of Italian cuisine with locally grown seasonal ingredients. This week, it is offering carry-out family meals for $65, featuring roasted chicken with piccata sauce and green beans, a tomato and cream pasta, a chopped salad with romaine and a sticky toffe cake for dessert.

Todoroki, 526 Davis St.
The downtown Evanston sushi and hibachi spot offers carry-out, prefix and meal plan deals. On Sunday, the eve of Valentine's Day this year, Todoroki is offering all-you-can-eat sushi for $20.
