16-Year-Old Boy Crushed Between Two Walls Wednesday
Accident happened on property of an Alsip construction company at 2:30 in the morning.

A teen-age boy died early Wednesday morning in Alsip after he was pinned between two 34,000-pound concrete walls at The Lombard Co., a local construction company, according to Alsip Police. The 16-year-old boy was found at about 2:35 a.m. after police received a phone call from a juvenile who was at the scene, at 4243 W. 123rd St. The walls were precast concrete clad with brick. The dead teen-ager and two other boys broke into the business to steal metal rods.
“The deceased was involved in the removal of one or more of these rods causing the wall to move from its original position and pinning the deceased between two concrete walls,” Alsip police said in a statement.
