.357 Magnum Found Loaded and Uncased After Head-On Collision

Prosecutors said passenger in vehicle admitted to "handling gun." Driver also charged with aggravated DUI.

Police recovered a loaded and uncased .357 Magnum behind the driver’s seat of a vehicle involved in a head-on collision in Oak Lawn.

Prosecutors said that Darryl Tucker, 55, and Alvaro Almaraz, 19, crashed head on with another vehicle at 110th Street and Cicero Avenue on June 28. The other driver did not appear to be injured, but there was a property damage.

Police said that Tucker, who was driving, appeared to have bloodshot eyes and admitted to drinking “two cans of beer” before the accident.
