Author Deconstructs Wright Brothers Myth In EP Library Talk
Best-selling author William Hazelgrove discusses his latest book, "Wright Brothers, Wrong Story," March 4 at the Evergreen Park Library.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Best-selling author William Hazelgrove offers a riveting presentation of his latest historical non-fiction book, "Wright Brothers, Wrong Story," at the Evergreen Park Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 4. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Hazelgrove sets about deconstructing the myth of Wilbur and Orville Wright, who invented the world’s first “flying machine.” The Wright Brothers were not, as history would lead us to believe, “two halves of the same apple.” This new history of the Wright Brothers monumental
achievement focuses on their early years of trial and error at Kitty Hawk (1900–1903).
"Wright Brothers, Wrong Story" examines how the Wright Brothers’ myth was born when Wilbur Wright died early and left his brother to write their history with personal friend John Kelly. Patrons will learn about the brothers’ personalities and abilities, as well as their peculiar family inwardness, culled from Wright family archives and letters. We’ve heard Hazelgrove being interviewed on WGN and he weaves a fascinating story.
