Bridgeview Man Leads Evergreen Park Cops On 98mph Chase: Police
Bridgeview man was driving vehicle that was reported stolen in Worth, prosecutors said.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- A Bridgeview man was arrested after he led police on a high speed chase through Evergreen Park, prosecutors said. Lane McBride, 25, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on felony charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and driving while license revoked. He is also facing misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property and has a pending battery case.
Around 11:09 p.m. March 28, Evergreen Park police ran a license plate of a white Pontiac that showed the car stolen out of Worth, the prosecutor said. Officers stopped the car. The front seat passenger provided an ID but the driver, later identified as McBride, reportedly did not have an ID. The prosecutor said McBride refused to get out of the car and began driving away, heading north on Tripp and east on 95th Street.
During the chase, police reported McBride reaching speeds of 98mph in and 30mph speed zone. The prosecutor said the chase ended when McBride crashed in an alley behind Utica Avenue in Evergreen Park, where he damaged three fences.
