Sponsored by the Evergreen Park Public Library Foundation: The library is once again partnering with Chicago mosaic artist and teacher Chris Zonta to install a mosaic design on two outdoor concrete benches.
The Precision Cement Co. is creating the forms and donating all of the labor, concrete, and rebar for the project.
Any interested member of the community 12 and older is welcome to register for a session to work with Chris to create the mosaic artwork that will be set into the concrete. Groups comprised of 6 participants will work on the mosaic in a session. The result will be two original pieces of public art, permanently installed in front of the library, that celebrate the diversity of our community.
