Officers working undercover called a cell phone number on Sept. 20, 2016, belonging to a person who called himself “Tango” and “Tracy.” A deal was brokered to purchase heroin for $50. Undercover cops agreed to meet at Gee-Jay Liquors on Pulaski Road in Chicago, the prosecutor said.

In December 2016, undercover cops called the same number. Police and the individual arranged another deal for $50, this time meeting at McDonald’s 84th Street and Pulaski Road. The same Hyundai arrived parking next to the police surveillance vehicle, the prosecutor said.

Police said they were met again by Edwards, who pushed a Newport cigarette pack on the front seat containing six bags of heroin.
A total of seven buys were arranged between September 2016 and January 2017. Police said they were also met by individuals later identified as Dobson and Moore. Some of the buys were reportedly captured on police audio and video recordings.
On Jan. 12, the prosecutor said an undercover buy took place within 1,000 feet of a Chicago public school near 78th Street and Trumbull Avenue.
Police called Tango on Jan. 26, whose voice matched Moore’s, the prosecutor said. At 5:28 p.m., Moore and Dobson pulled up in a silver Jaguar at Gee-Jay Liquors. They were both arrested and charged.
The prosecutor said that Moore and Dobson had no prior criminal background. Edwards has a pending assault case.
“What concerns the court is the repeated activity of the last two months,” Judge Carmody said.
Bail for Moore and Dobson was set at $25,000; Edwards’ bail was set at $50,000. The three men are due back in court Feb. 23 in Bridgeview.
