Evergreen Park, IL -- Evergreen Park will celebrate Independence Day with a parade and fireworks this Friday, July 1.

Known for holding its parade a few days before the actual Fourth of July holiday, Evergreen Park’s patriotic promenade has gained a reputation as being one of the best in the south suburbs.

The 48th annual edition will feature families marching together, community groups, businesses, churches, youth teams, scout troops and even a few politicos getting into the act.
The Evergreen Park is set to step off at 6:30 p.m. from Pulaski Road and 95th Street, east on 95th Street to Richmond Avenue, and north on Richmond to 91st Street where the parade disbands.

After the parade, head over to Duffy Park at 92nd and Millard for the fireworks show around dusk (9 p.m.).
