Evergreen Park Man Accused of Burglarizing Cars in Oak Lawn
Oak Lawn police say that man is suspect in four car burglaries that occurred in the early morning hours of July 10.

An Evergreen Park man believed to be a suspect in four car burglaries was grabbed by Oak Lawn police after they found him crouching down next to a vehicle Friday morning, according to a police news release.
Declan M. Moore, 19, of the 9700 block of South Avers Avenue, Evergreen Park, was charged with four counts of felony burglary, one count possession of cannabis and one count of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest unfolded around 10 a.m. Friday, when police spotted a man later identified as Moore crouched down next to a car in the 9800 block of South Tripp Avenue, police said.
According to officers, Moore appeared to be hiding. After confronting Moore, police discovered that he had in his possession several items that came from cars parking in the neighborhood.

Police said the owners identified their property as coming from their cars. Moore was taken into custody, who is believed to have allegedly burglarized four vehicles in the immediate area during earlier Friday morning.
The vehicles did not show any signs of forcible entry, police said.
The Cook County assistant state’s attorney approved felony charges. Moore appeared Saturday in weekend bond court at the George Leighton Criminal Court Building at 26th and California.
Bail was set at $50,000, although Cook County Sheriff records indicate that Moore is being held on a no bond warrant.
Moore’s next court date is in Bridgeview on July 14.
