EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The Village of Evergreen Park will be honoring area active military service members and veterans in the “Hometown Heroes” segment of Wednesday’s “Third of July” parade. Featured on the village’s electronic marquee is a very special shout out to two area service members.

The newly promoted U.S. Army Major Christopher Mazurek is stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, CO.

Adia Taylor, with her thousand-watt smile, was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Sgt. Taylor arrived home this week on leave to visit family. A special invitation has been extended for Sgt. Taylor to march in the village’s Independence Day Parade tonight (Wednesday, July 3).
