I Saw What You Did

Caught Doing Good

Dear dad who lives on Spaulding near 96th street. I saw what you did. Following the huge storm on Wednesday afternoon, you had the audacity to be out in the street and in a neighbors yard with a saw in hand, cutting up downed tree branches totally unsolicited!! And with your two young children in tow. In fact, they were helping drag branches to the street.

Sir, I applaud you. That sort of kindness needs to be taught more often, but it's best when it's caught being demonstrated. Your kids got a valuable lesson in human kindness. You don't have to wait to be asked for a favor, do it when you see the need because it's the right thing to do. Great demonstration of the second greatest commandment: love your neighbor as yourself.

You rock!
