Man Caught Driving Without Alcohol Ignition Lock: Prosecutor
Man was driving vehicle that did not have the court-ordered breath alcohol ignition device, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors said that a man was caught driving without a court-ordered ignition interlock breathalyzer on his vehicle that detects when a driver may be impaired by alcohol.
Jan Kowalski was charged with aggravated driving on a suspended license July 12 when he was stopped by Justice Police.
Prosecutors said that Kowalski was ordered to have breath alcohol ignition interlock, or BAIID device, installed on his car by July 6.

When he was stopped by police and found not to have the BAIID on the vehicle he was driving, Kowalski allegedly gave police a phony name.
The assistant public defender told the judge that Kowalski works for a public utility and was allowed to use other vehicles for his job.
