Man Charged With Rolling Up Window on Cop's Arm, Dragging Him Down Street: Police
Man was revving engine while cop was directing traffic, prosecutors said.

A man is facing multiple felonies after he allegedly dragged a police officer ten feet through traffic on Saturday.
Ricardo Vasquez, 25, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding, and aggravated battery against a police officer.

Prosecutors said that Vasquez was revving his engine at 71st Street and Harlem Avenue while a Bridgeview police officer directed traffic.
The cop asked for Vasquez’s driver’s license. Vasquez was about to hand it over when he withdrew his hand. He rolled up the car window on the officer’s arm and dragged the officer ten feet through traffic, according to the charges.

Prosecutors said that Vasquez was arrested the next day during another traffic stop. The officer who was allegedly dragged identified Vasquez.
Bail was set at $50,000. Vasquez is due back in court on Sept. 17.
