Midway Int'l Airport Plans Airfield Emergency Drill Saturday
More than 20 area fire and ambulance companies will participate in major airplane emergency simulation at Midway on June 6.

Visitors may notice a lot of activity and emergency vehicles at Midway International Airport this Saturday.
The Chicago Department of Aviation says the airport is planning to simulate a major airplane emergency to test its response procedures. The simulation will involve 90 volunteers playing the roles of airline passengers. They will be done up in theatrical makeup to give the scenario as realistic a feel as possible.
More than 20 area emergency response agencies will be involved, including ambulance and fire companies.
