Police Search for Missing South Side Man With Dementia

Chicago police are intensifying their search for a South Side man with dementia who has been missing since July 24.

Clyde Davenport, 76, was last seen in the area of 5700 S. Damen Avenue. Davenport was wearing a black baseball cap, white T-shirt, blue jeans and black gym shoes.

He is described as an African American man, 5 ft. 9 in. tall and 190 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and walks with a shuffle.

Police said the missing man has Alzheimer’s and frequents the area of 61st to 67th streets on Damen. He has no identification or money on his person.
