Police Search for Owner of Stolen 1966 Fenger High School Class Ring
South Side class ring ends up in loot from string of North Side burglaries, cops say.

This being the South Side, there are likely to be thousands of Fenger high school graduates. Chicago Police are looking to find the owner of a men’s 1966 class ring from the venerable South Side high school recovered in some loot from a string of North Side burglaries.
Daunta Head, 46, of the 5300 block of South Indiana Avenue, is facing multiple felony charges of residential burglary, burglary and theft by deception.

Area North detectives say that Head was hustling the stolen property -- including jewelry, cameras, laptops, musical instruments and more -- at various pawn shops.
Head allegedly targeted garden apartments and multi-unit buildings in Chicago’s North Side Lakeview, North Center, Roscoe Village, Uptown and Buena Park neighborhoods between July and November.

Now, detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying their stolen property. They are especially interested in finding the owner of the men’s 1966 Fenger high school ring with a red stone, engraved with the initials “DJB.”
The recovered property is specifically from North Side burglary victims.
