Bandit Passes Note To Teller, Robs Countryside Bank: Police

Burbank police said the suspect did not display a weapon after slipping teller a note demanding money.

BURBANK, IL — A man walked into a Burbank bank and robbed a teller Friday afternoon, police said. No injuries were reported.

Around 1:15 p.m., Burbank police responded to an apparent robbery at Countryside Bank, 6053 W. 79th St. The purported bandit walked up to teller and slipped a note demanding money. After the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled westbound on foot, police said. No weapon was displayed.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his twenties and, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build. Police said he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
