Search Continues For Missing Evergreen Park Boy, 14

Zechariah Anderson, 14, was last seen Feb. 7 in Evergreen Park. Police asking for the public's help in locating him.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL -- The search continues for a 14-year-old boy who went missing on Feb. 7 in Evergreen Park. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Zechariah Anderson. Family members said Zechariah was last seen walking north towards 87th Street. Police are not giving out the boy’s home address.

Evergreen Park police said the boy has run away from home before. Prior to Zechariah’s disappearance, Chicago police found him around 3:45 a.m. the same morning at a Citgo gas station located at 3645 W. 79th Street. The boy was brought home by police.

Zechariah attends CICS Wrightwood School, a Chicago charter school located at 8130 S. California Ave., police said.

The missing youth is described as an African-American male and has a medium complexion, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-feet-3-inches tall, and weighs 110 pounds. He was wearing blue jogging pants, gold shirt, and a dark Polo brand coat.

Anyone who has seen Zechariah or has information on his whereabouts, is asked to call 911, or contact the call Evergreen Park detectives at 708-422-2144
