• Family Of Frankfort Girl Killed By School Bus Files Wrongful Death Suit (patch.com) — Frankfort residents are learning more about the wrongful death lawsuit filed after 6-year-old Grand Prairie Elementary student Jenna Menias was fatally struck by her school bus near her Aberdeen Drive home. The suit accuses Frankfort School District 157-C and Lincoln-Way District 210 of ignoring repeated parental safety concerns and using an inexperienced substitute driver who allegedly failed to see Jenna before moving the bus forward.
   

• Ghost Stories On The Green Brings Halloween Fun To Breidert Green (patch.com) — Families in Frankfort can look forward to Ghost Stories on the Green on Oct. 23 at Breidert Green, featuring gentle ghost tales and a family-friendly magic show by Edd Fairman. Hosted by the Village and Frankfort Public Library, the free evening includes straw bale seating, costumes, and popcorn for a relaxed downtown Halloween outing.
   

• Cedarhurst Of Frankfort Opens Independent Living Cottages (patch.com) — New independent living cottages are now open at Cedarhurst of Frankfort, adding 32 maintenance-free homes for local seniors in Frankfort.
