Annual Family Fun Fly Planned April 1 In Frankfort

The free, all-ages event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at Main Park.

FRANKFORT, IL — Celebrate spring with some kite flying at Main Park on April 1. The free, all-ages event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the park, 200 N Locust St.

Residents can bring their own kites or borrow one from the park district to fly and celebrate "Flying for Kids Month," which is a statewide kite fly that promotes park districts, recreation agencies, and the Park District Youth License Plate, according to the park district.

The rain weather date for the event is April 26 from 12 to 2 p.m.
