Family Hearth General Store, 119 Kansas Street, Frankfort, IL: Now starting its fifth year, The Family Hearth General Store at 119 Kansas Street in Historic Downtown Frankfort is now "officially" a bookstore too and proud to be a Penguin Classics Random House Book distributor!
You’ll find a little bit of yesterday that will delight you today at the Family Hearth General Store in downtown historic Frankfort at 119 Kansas Street. Situated in an authentic 1870s-style general store with the original wide-plank pine floor, the shop is full of vintage wares and unique gifts with a Victorian era style. Honoring home, faith and family life, the shop features gifts for family occasions with a Christian inspirational tone. From Victorian replicas of quilts, samplers and jewelry, Lori Mitchell folk art, fine specialty packaged foods, teas and coffees including soups, slow cooker meals, creams and jams, old-time candy, ice cream, and bottles of pop, unique vintage books and literary themed candles and gifts, you’ll find all things here reminiscent of old and loved traditions of simpler times spent ‘round the Family Hearth.
The Family Hearth General Store is a 501(c)3 nonprofit storefront ministry of Forming Faithful Families, www.formingfaithfulfamilies.com, that strengthens families in the faith through television, radio and book publications, speaking engagements, spiritual direction and support for families in today’s culture. The shop also hosts faith-based book and bible studies offered year round as well as needlework classes and gatherings.
