Frankfort Approves Homestead Commercial Development
The development is a 9,600-square-foot multi-tenant commercial shopping center at Laraway and Wolf roads.

FRANKFORT, IL — At its meeting on Monday, the Frankfort Village Board approved a special use permit for the Homestead commercial development at the southwest corner of Laraway and Wolf Road.
Trustee John Clavio said the development is a 9,600-square-foot multi-tenant commercial shopping center.
A public hearing was held for the project on July 9, and the plan commission recommended the special use for the planned unit development, the preliminary plat, as well as outdoor seating, according to board documents. The original plan also called for a drive-thru facility.

At the public hearing for the project, several nearby residents expressed concerns about the drive-thru. The plan commission did not recommend a special use permit for a drive-thru connection.
Clavio said the applicant presented revised plans, and removed the drive-thru facility.
