'Long Run' Virtual Marathon Planned In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — The 20th annual Short Run On A Long Day 5K has been postponed until 2021, but the Frankfort Park District is still holding the Long Run virtual marathon.

The virtual marathon will be held from June 17 to July 31. According to the registration page, you can complete 26.2 miles over the time frame however you like, and you could run or walk outdoors or indoors.

Activity logs will be emailed by June 16. You can complete all 26.2 miles and submit log to cdebella@frankfortparks.org by July 31.

You can then pick up your packet, including a T-shirt, medal and sponsor goodies on Aug. 1 at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St., Frankfort.
