• Frankfort Park District's Splash Park Closes Sept. 4 (patch.com) — Families in Frankfort have just a couple more weeks to enjoy the Frankfort Park District's Splash Park at Commissioners Park, which will close for the season on Sept. 4. The park is shifting to shorter "end of summer" hours starting Friday, with specific weekday and weekend times for local visitors. Located on South 80th Avenue, it remains a nearby option for late-summer fun.
   

• Will County renews Flock camera agreements despite some dissent (chicagotribune.com) — Frankfort drivers should know that Will County has renewed its agreement allowing Flock license plate reader cameras in town, despite vocal privacy concerns from some residents and board members. Frankfort's police chief strongly backed the technology, citing local cases solved with the cameras, while opponents warned about potential surveillance abuse and demanded stronger safeguards. County leaders say they'll keep reviewing rules to prevent misuse.
