Summit Hill District 161 will hold several activities in October as part of National Bullying Prevention Month.
FRANKFORT, IL — Summit Hill District 161 will hold several activities in October as part of National Bullying Prevention Month. First, on Monday, Oct. 7, students and teachers are asked to wear blue.
The school said the goal is to encourage everyone to work together to stop bullying and cyber-bullying by increasing understanding of the prevalence and impact of bullying on children of all ages.
Next, on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Summit Hill Junior High, Detective John Bonarek from the Tinley Park Police Department will share information on how to keep students safe online, the school said.

Lastly, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, students and teachers are asked to wear orange as a show of unity against bullying and cyber-bullying.
