$19.99 Shirt, $200 Bond and Booking Fees
Jevonshe Temar Purdis, 22, of the 1300 block of West Main Street, St. Charles, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. at Kohl’s, 3840 E. Main St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said he left the store without paying for a shirt valued at $19.99. Purdis posted $150 cash bond and a $50 booking fee and was released pending a Feb. 6, 2014 court appearance.

Banned From Super Target
Alexander Daniel Schwartz, 20, of the 800 block of North LaSalle Drive, Chicago, was arrested at 1:55 p.m. at Super Target, 3885 E. Main St., on a charge of retail theft. According to police, he left the store without paying for a shirt, a pair of earbuds, and an Excel game. The report did not provide a value for the items. Schwartz was banned from the store. He released on his own recognizance pending a Feb. 6, 2014 appearance in Kane County Branch Court.

Felony Retail Theft at Von Maur
Kathleen Elizabeth Knifong, 19, of the 600 block of Jackson Avenue, St. Charles, was arrested at 2:50 p.m. at Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., on a felony charge of retail theft. According to police, Knifong left the store without paying for a $78 necklace and two Coach wallets with a combined value of $290.. She was held in the Kane County Jail.
Retail Theft Arrest
Dayra Selena Espinoza, 18, of the 1000 block of Elizabeth Street, West Chicago, was arrested at 7:09 p.m. at Walmart, 150 Smith Road, on a charge of retail theft. According to police, she left the store without paying for two bluetooth headsets, and assorted other items with a combined value of $94.19. Espinoza was released on her own recognizance pending a Feb. 27, 2014 court appearance.
