Alienated Grandparents

My purpose is to live life fully expressed and to teach others to do the same. That requires vulnerability, as does posting this.

I have been alienated from 3 of my 4 grandchildren for over 2 and 1/2 years now. To say that I've been completed and utterly devastated is an understatement. The pain is indescribable, yet I know it's there for a purpose.

Because of my situation, I've heard of various similar stories. From what I've researched, this is endemic in our society and globally. This is not only a denial of grandparents rights but our grandchildren are being denied their rights as well. It's creating emotional problems for the grandchildren and grandparents are suffering immensely. Even suicides have resulted over this abuse.

I'm no longer willing to hide my story. Instead, what I intend to do is to support other grandparents who are alienated. I have no clue what it will look like at this point, but I know that this is where I need to start. I intend to start collecting more information and resources to help grandparents cope and to help you validate your feelings because you are not alone.

If you or someone you know might want to be part of my endeavor, feel free to access the Facebook page I recently created:  https://www.facebook.com/pages/Alienated-Grandparents-Unite/208987632605536

Because of the activity on Facebook, I'm going to lead a free conference call tomorrow night, Tuesday, October 29th from 7 to 8 pm Central.  The purpose of the call is to feel supported and validated and hopefully leave the call with new ideas to cope with your situation.

Feel free to email me at:  coachdeb7@gmail.com and I will send you the free conference call dial in information.

 Sending hope,

Debbie
