
George Kenneth Stevens, 69, of Geneva died Jan, 24, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
He was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Chicago, the son of Leonard and Marian (nee Swiatek) Stevens.
He was united in marriage to Jeanne nee Consolazio Giffin on July 25, 1977, in Chicago. George owned and operated Valley Fastener Inc. which was located in Batavia for many years and currently is located in West Chicago.

George was an unassuming man with a kind and generous heart who enjoyed his family and friends. He had a motto of “Live Well, Love Much and Laugh Often."
He was a member of St. Charles Moose Lodge, Turners Club in Aurora and is currently serving as treasurer of the Batavia VFW 1197 Boosters Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne, his children Glenn (Lori) Stevens of Park Ridge, Christopher (Nancy) Giffin, of Dacula, GA and Marianne (Charles) (nee Giffin) Kramer, of Round Lake; seven grandchildren; four brothers Leonard, Thomas (Linda), Ronald (Lynne) Stevens and, Richard Lanners; a sister Mariann (Thomas) Orr and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Donald Stevens.
Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will begin with prayers from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, before proceeding to , 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, to celebrate Mass at 11 a.m.
Interment will be held privately at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton.
