Tri-Com Dispatch reported a basement fire a little before 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Cherry Lane and Old Kirk Road.
The general alarm fire initially was reported at 0N670 Old Kirk Road.
There were no fire hydrants in the area, so responders requested a tank truck, but mutual aid requests were quickly called off.
At 3:08 p.m., firefighters on the scene reported, "The fire is out."
