Summer Cross Country Meets Today (Thursday) at Wheeler Park in Geneva

Be a summer runner at Wheeler Park cross country races each Thursday night from June 16^th thru July 21^st. 

Registration begins at 5 pm at the pavilion and the first children’s race is at 6 pm with adult races to follow.  Registration closes at the start of the first race.  Runners of all ages are welcome.  Race fee is $1.00 per person with a maximum amount of $3.00 per family. 

Ribbons awarded to all participants.  Make your summer neat – come and use your feet!

Race distances:

Grades 5^th and under ¾ mile

Grades 6^th thru 8^th 1 ½ miles

Grades 9  & 10 girls 2 ¼ miles

Grades 9 & 10 boys 3 miles

Grades 11 & 12 3 miles

Open  Race 3 miles

Master Race 3 miles

The summer cross country races are hosted by the Batavia Accelerators Youth Running Club.

Coaches Scott Kurth and Keith Gollwitzer emphasize having fun while competing.  Participants of the club train and compete year round in events around the Chicago area.  Family members and parents are invited and encouraged to run with thier children.  

All youth, from ages 4 to 18 are welcome to join the club.  There is no membership cost and you do not need to live in Batavia to join. 

All levels of expirience are welcome and runners may join the club at any time.

Currently the Batavia Accelerators practice Monday through Thursday at the Windmill in the Fabyan Park from 5pm to 6pm.
