Find Fourth of July Parades This Holiday Weekend

Several communities will host parades and fireworks over the Fourth of July weekend.

Here is a look at Fourth of July parades being held in the Chicago suburbs this weekend.

Palatine

The Hometown Fest Parade steps off at 11 a.m. on Saturday. The Parade route is approximately one mile long. Parade line-up will proceed east down Wood Street from the south on Quentin only. Step-off will be promptly at 11 a.m. and proceed south on Cedar St. to Slade St., east on Slade St. to Brockway, north on Brockway to Wood St. and east on Wood St. into Community Park. Parade vehicles will disburse West on Slade St.

Arlington Heights

The Frontier Days parade steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday from Dunton and Oakton, travels south on Dunton to Miner and east to Recreation Park.

Barrington

The theme of the Barrington Fourth of July Parade this year is ‘Barrington Through The Decades’. Combining the past of the Barrington communities with the Fourth of July Parade will provide a patriot, informative and entertaining pageant of the history of the Barrington Community.

The parade will be the story of how our community evolved over the past 15 decades and will be of interest and fun for participants and onlookers alike.

The parade steps off at 10 a.m. Saturday from Barrington High School and will run along Main Street ending at the train station.

Hawthorn Woods

The parade steps off at 10 a.m. on July 4. The parade starts at Falkirk and Lagoon and ends at Village Hall for our flag raising ceremony.

Vernon Hills

The parade steps off at 9 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Deerpath and Atrium Drive, just south of Highway 60 (Town Line Road). Marching units will follow a parade route south to Sullivan Drive and then west to Aspen, with a final destination will be the Hawthorn South Elementary School. Demonstration areas will be marked along the route for your viewing pleasure.

Crystal Lake

The parade follows its historical 1.8 mile route beginning at City Hall, proceeding down Dole Avenue and ending at the Lakeside Festival grounds. The Parade will be held on Sunday and will step off at 1 p.m. sharp.

Wheaton

The parade will step off at 10 a.m. in downtown Wheaton. The parade route can be viewed here.

Glen Ellyn

The parade will step off at noon on Saturday. Due to construction scheduled for Crescent Blvd this summer, the parade route will be rerouted and return to the traditional route next year.

The parade route will begin at Hawthorne Street and Lenox Road marching north on Lenox Road, turning west onto Linden Street and southbound on Main Street ending at Crescent. The staging area will be in the surrounding area consisting of the high school parking lots, Lake Road and the neighboring streets south of Hawthorne.

Please consider parking in the lots south of the train tracks and walking to the festivities by foot.
