Geneva Chef's 948-Pound Chocolate Sculpture to Appear on Food Network Show
Chef Alain Roby of All Chocolate Kitchen in Geneva has created his chocolate masterpiece, "Eros," just in time for Valentine's Day.

A Geneva chef has done it again.
Chef Alain Roby has used chocolate to sculpt a 948-pound masterpiece that is currently on display at All Chocolate Kitchen, 33 S. Third St. in Geneva.
His sculpture, “Eros,” which is the god of love, will be featured on the Food Network’s “Outrageous Foods” program on Feb. 7, according to a press release.

For Valentine’s Day 2012, Roby constructed a 23-foot tall chocolate enchanted tree, made entirely out of Dark Belgian Chocolate.
He is also credited with creating a 700-pound sculpture of Neil Armstrong in an astronaut suit, created out of white chocolate, for the Adler Planetarium, which was featured on the Food Network and the Learning Channel.

Roby’s other feats include a life-size, 650-pound white chocolate Blackhawks player, which honored NHL player Eddie Olczyk and was presented to him at the Blackhawks’ celebration of the 2010 Stanley Cup.
Roby was named the 2013 Pastry Chef of the Year by the Chicago Culinary Museum and is internationally known for his talent in creating sugar and chocolate masterpieces.
He is the only pastry chef to hold three Guinness World Records for his creations of the World’s Tallest Cooked Sugar Building, the World’s Tallest Chocolate Sculpture, and the World’s Longest Candy Cane.
Roby’s All Chocolate Kitchen is located at 33 South Third Street in Geneva.
Hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
