Geneva Coronavirus Count Jumps To 25 With 7 New Cases Tuesday

Seven people in Geneva were confirmed to have the new coronavirus since Kane County officials released Monday's statistics.

GENEVA, IL — Seven people joined the growing number of confirmed cases in Geneva Tuesday, public health data shows. Officials confirmed 18 cases Monday, but that number jumped to 25 just a day later, according to the Kane County Health Department.

That means confirmed cases have nearly tripled since April 2, when officials announced nine cases in the city.

As of Monday, Kane County has seen 36 coronavirus deaths, according to Coroner Rob Russell. Russell announced Monday that more than 230 people tested positive for the new coronavirus and 11 people died from related complications over the previous week in Kane County.
