Geneva Man Dies Following Crash Outside the Lodge Restaurant in Kane County
Stephen Sikorsky, 73, died over the weekend as a result of injuries sustained during the Friday evening crash.

A 73-year-old Geneva man died over the weekend after the vehicle he was driving was struck from behind by a Jeep Wrangler along Route 64 in rural Kane County.
Stephen Sikorsky was first taken to Delnor Hospital following the Friday evening crash and then flown to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where he died as a result of his injuries on Saturday, police said.
The Campton Hills Police Department was called to the scene of the crash, which occurred outside the Lodge Restaurant, at 41W379 Route 64, at about 5:25 p.m. on June 17, according to a police department press release.

Sikorsky was driving west on Route 64, stopped in traffic turning into the Lodge Restaurant, when his vehicle was struck from behind by a Jeep Wrangler, driven by Richard Graham of Sycamore, according to the news release.
Sikorsky’s vehicle was then pushed into an eastbound lane where it struck the rear tandem axles of a tractor trailer, which was eastbound on Route 64.

Graham was transported to Delnor Hospital where he was being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
It does not appear that alcohol was involved in the accident. Traffic charges for Graham are pending an investigation by the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
