Geneva Park District Sunset Dance Company Receives High Honors at Dance Competition

The Geneva Park District Sunset Dance Company including Lyrical Company, Finale Company and Musical Theatre Company competed at the “Beyond the Stars” Dance Competition on Saturday, February 12, 2017 held at Batavia High School.

Awards received included: Lyrical Company and Finale Company receiving High Gold and the Sunset Dance Musical Theater Company received Gold. Lyrical Company also won a teachers award for Costume and a Judges award for best “Committed and Connected," according to a news release.

“We are excited to participate in this competition each year and thrilled to see the talent our girls bring to the competition. It is great they were awarded with Gold and High Gold Awards. We are so proud to receive such high honors. We have top notch instructors with Haleigh Hutchinson and Ryann Marszalek instructing our amazing Sunset Dance Company," said Beth Keen, recreation supervisor.
