Geneva Police Blotter: Nintendo DS Taken From Car

Among the miscellaneous items from the Geneva police reports this week is the reminder not to keep your video games in your vehicles where they can entice a thief or thieves.
Antenna Taken, Truck Scratched
Someone removed the antenna and scratched the paint of a truck parked and unattended in the Geneva High School parking lot next to Burgess Field in the 1400 block of Gray Street sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Sept. 18, reports said. No estimate of the damage was provided at the time of the report.

Public Intoxication Citation
Geneva police cited Trevor Cunningham, 23, of Geneva for public intoxication around 3:09 a.m. Sept. 7 in the 800 block of Samantha Circle, reports said. The citation carries a fine of $50 if paid by its due date.

18-Year-Olds Cited for Underage Drinking
Geneva police cited three 18-year-olds from Warrenville — John O’Malley, Aaron Carstens, and Nicholas Rossi — for consumption of alcohol by a minor and gave Joseph Rossi, 24, of Warrenville a warning notice for speeding 40 mph in the 30 mph zone and driving with an expired registration after a traffic stop around 12:47 a.m. Sept. 7 in the 400 block of East State Street, reports said. The underage drinking citation carries a $250 fine if paid by its due date.
Nintendo DS Taken From Motor Vehicle
Someone took a Nintendo 3DS XL from a vehicle parked in the lot at Sunset Pool Recreation Center, 710 Western Ave., Geneva, sometime between 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Sept. 11, reports said. The Nintendo DS was valued at $200.
Sunglasses Taken From Jeep at Josef's
Someone took a pair of black, Randolf Engineering sunglasses fom a Jeep Wrangler parked at the rear of Josef’s Meats & Deli, 716 W. State St., sometime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 29, reports said. The sunglasses were valued at $100.
