Geneva Seeks High Schooler to Serve on City Committee
The deadline to apply for the seat on the City's Strategic Plan Advisory Committee is next week.

GENEVA, IL — Students interested in learning about local government and how the city of Geneva determines its priorities can apply for a unique opportunity to serve on the City's Strategic Plan Advisory Committee. As a full-fledged committee member, the selected student will participate in regular meetings and provide important input to assist the city council in prioritizing community goals. This hands-on experience provides a unique opportunity to play an active role in implementing the city’s strategic plan and shape the future of our community.
To be eligible, the student must:
- Live in Geneva
- Be currently enrolled in high school
- Be able to participate in the city's Student Government Committee
- Attend Strategic Plan Advisory Committee meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesdays of each month at city hall
- Submit a letter of interest and resume no later than 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 11
