GENEVA, IL — Geneva's Viking ship, situated in Good Templar Park, will once again reopen to visitors for tours starting May 21.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., visitors will have the option to take a docent-guided tour or opt to go on a self-guided outing of The Viking, a life-size replica of a ship that sailed from Bergen, Norway to the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893.
"Our volunteer docents will tell you all about this 'one of a kind' ship," reads the event's description. "You'll learn of Viking’s construction, journey, and significance. You may even meet a Viking!"
