Geneva Volleyball Team Takes a Tough Loss Against Waubonsie Valley

The Vikings came out swinging in Thursday's Homecoming matchup against Waubonsie Valley.

At the beginning of game one, Geneva made Waubonsie Valley’s defense work. Stephanie Earl ran a good offense, gaining 11 assists and contributed 4 digs in the match. It wasn’t until the end of game one and beginning of game two that the Vikings started to struggle and couldn’t execute to win points.

Ashleigh Shain gathered up 16 digs against Waubonsie Valley’s offense, but that wasn’t enough to dig Geneva out of their hole. A lot of the Geneva players got to see some court time, but it wasn’t enough to come out with a win.

The Vikings play in the St. Charles East / Mizuno Classic Tournament this weekend.
