Girls Basketball Team Defeats Lake Park 63-43
The Vikings come back from a loss on Saturday to defeat the Lancers by 20.

The lady Vikings defeated Lake Park on Tuesday night 63-43 by playing tough defense and creating turnovers early in the game.
Geneva (13-5) let off some steam from Saturday night’s loss to Pickerington North, pressing Lake Park and jumping to an early lead.
“Like it has been all season, our full-court defensive pressure was key in forcing turnovers so that we could get easy shots on the offensive end,” assistant coach Eric Duffett said. “It was the most effective our press has been all season.”

The Vikings held the lead throughout the game and were able to come out in the second half and finish with the help of senior Kat Yelle and junior Ashley Santos, who both scored in the double digits.
“Ashley played really well tonight,” said Duffett. “She had big contributions in steals, rebounds and points.”
