Hits Keep on Coming for Geneva Mailboxes
Two more mailboxes separated from posts on Geneva's West Side.

Geneva police reported a mailbox-destruction spree in the Williamsburg area between Aug. 7 and Aug. 14.
This time, there were two mailboxes with similar damage, both taking place Aug. 24 on Blackberry Drive.
Long, Round Object Used?
Someone damaged an aluminum mailbox sometime between midnight and 8 a.m. Aug. 24 in the 2100 block of Blackberry Drive, reports said. The box was hit with force that detached it from the wooden post, and the damage “was consistent with a long round object striking the mailbox,” reports said. Damage was estimated at $25.
Resident Heard Noises Around 1 AM
Someone damaged a plastic mailbox in the 2100 block of Blackberry Drive sometime between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m. Aug. 24, reports said. Damage was estimated at $40. The resident told police he heard noises around 1 a.m.
