Local State Rep Awarded Legislator of the Year from Illinois Association of Park Districts
Congrats to Representative Steve Andersson.

Representative Steve Andersson was presented with the Illinois Association of Park Districts’ (IAPD) Outstanding Legislator of the Year Award. Andersson accepted this award at the Illinois Association of Park District and Illinois Park and Recreation annual conference on Jan. 20, according to a Geneva Park District press release.
“Representative Andersson consistently attends IAPD legislative awareness events and his efforts to advance park and recreational opportunities for Illinois citizens in his first term have truly been exceptional. Representative Andersson has been a reliable advocate for grant funding for park districts and recreation agencies, and he understands the value of local government,” said Peter Murphy, IAPD’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
Andersson represents the 65th Legislative District, which includes parts of Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles, Pingree Grove, Gilberts, Wayne, Elgin, South Elgin, Hampshire, and Huntley
