Car Marketing Deal Too Good to Be True

A victim reported that he became involved in a scam in which he was to be paid $300 a week to allow a company to "wrap his vehicle in the company’s logo." The subject was sent a check, which subsequently bounced, reports said.

Cell Phone Account Tapped?

A victim who residents in the 1100 block of Edwards Drive told police that unknown offenders attempted to access his cell phone account. The report was filed at 3:38 p.m. Dec. 21.

Identity Theft?

A victim in the 0-99 block of South Harrison Street told police she started receiving phone calls saying several people have a claim against her. The woman said money has been removed from her bank account on two occasions, according to the report filed at 3:45 p.m. Dec. 18.
