MMTT Kids Triathlon Is Sunday Morning at Delnor Wellness Center
Delnor Health & Wellness Center hosts a youth triathlon in the Delnor pool, on the Delnor campus and on some Geneva city streets.

The 2011 MMTT Kids Triathlon takes place Sunday at the .
The Junior Race (7- to 10-year-olds) begins at 7 a.m. Sunday, the Senior Race (11- to 16-year-olds) will follow once all the junior racers have completed the bike course. The Elites (max age 18, previous sprint distance race experience required) will go off after Seniors have completed the bike course.
Juniors compete in the 125-meter pool swim, two-mile bike and half-mile run. Seniors compete in the 125-meter pool swim, five-mile bike and mile run. Elites compete in the 375-meter pool swim, 6.2-mile bike and 1.55-mile run.

Swim Course
Junior and Senior racers will be completing a 125-meter swim in the Delnor Pool. The swim will be done in a “snake” fashion with each swimmer swimming one length in each lane (a total of five lengths in a 25-meter pool). There will be lifeguards on duty as well as volunteers to make sure each swimmer completes the course in a safe manner.

Swimmers will be starting the course one at a time at 10-second intervals and will be allowed to pass another swimmer.
The Elite racers will start in wave starts of eight racers at a time and swim 15 laps. There will be two racers in the three middle lanes and one racer in each of the outside lanes. Counters will be at the end of each lane to let the swimmer know when they have completed their swim by lowering a kickboard into the water.
Bike Course
The bike course will be on neighborhood streets just north and west of Delnor. The Geneva Police Department is volunteering at the five intersections as well as race volunteers along the route.
The route will be closed to most traffic. However, all racers MUST adhere to instructions given by volunteers and police officers.
Run Course
The run course will take place on the trail around the Wellness Center property. Volunteers and an aid station will be available on the course.
Post Race Activities
There will be a DJ, food and drink at the finish for the athletes along with our raffle prize drawing. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and age group awards will begin as soon as results are posted.
