PHOTO GALLERY: 2012 Corn Boil Rocks at 'New' Burgess Field
The 2012 fall sports season started with a bang, as hundreds of students celebrate the start of a new season and a new surface on Burgess Field.
First of all, thank you to Barb Delabar and and Tom and Cindi Willman for your wonderful photos of the 2012 Corn Boil. It's not hyperbole to say that this article wouldn't have been possible without you.
That's because, not one, not two, but three cameras went kaput on me last night, so the array of Corn Boil photos I'd planned to showcase didn't happen. My apologies to all. Geneva Patch ran so many photos and videos a season ago, and I was looking forward to the same this year.
So, I'm asking for your help. Were you at the Corn Boil on Wednesday? Did you take some photos? Then please post them with this article. The more faces and names, the merrier!

Wednesday night was special, of course, because it was the first big showing of the new Burgess Field turf. It looks spectacular, as you can see in the photos provided here.
It's also special, as it is every year, for parents and family and friends to recognize all the Geneva athletes and coaches, who put so much time and effort into continuing Geneva's tradition of excellence on the playing fields.
