Scrooge Alert: First Christmas Lights Cut of the Season

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Count it! The first official Scrooge report of the holiday season happened sometime prior to 12:33 p.m. Nov. 21 in Batavia. Here's a roundup of criminal-damage reports from the Batavia Police Department “Daily Report Synopsis, Media/Public Version.” 


Cut Christmas Lights 

An unknown offender cut the Christmas lights on an evergreen tree in the 800 block of West Wilson Street, according to a report filed at 12:33 p.m. Nov. 21. The value of the lights was estimated at $5.

Anger Results in CDTP Charges

Batavia police arrested James Natalizio, 21, of Batavia on charges of criminal damage to property at 345 Main St., according to a report filed at 7:08 p.m. Nov. 19. Natalizio “broke a window in the garage due to his anger,” reports said. The window was valued at $100. He posted bond and has a court date of Dec. 10, reports said.

Graffiti at Parking Garage

Someone drew graffiti on the north end of the lower level of the Batavia Parking Garage door at 10 N. River St., according to a report at 10:08 p.m. Nov. 19. The graffiti was an upward-facing pitch fork with the words “King Killa” underneath.

 

Car Damaged at Holmstad

Criminal damage to property was reported at The Holmstad, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, at 10:26 p.m. Nov. 19. The victim told police that the front bumper of her vehicle had been scratched and a plastic trim piece was pried off.
