SOPHS: St. Charles North Takes the Opener From Geneva

The first win of the night goes to St. Charles North.

The North Stars led 24-14 at the half, but Geneva started the third quarter by recovering an onside kick. The Vikings drove 45 yards for the score on a drive that included big fourth-down conversion and a pass from Dan Santacaterina to Pace Temple to the 2-yard line.

But the North Stars scored on the next drive, coverting on third and 20 to push, than made a 2-point conversion for a 32-21 lead.

North scored again on a 52-yard run and the two teams traded touchdowns in the final quarter.
