St. Charles Townhouse Development To Get Geneva Water

The three-unit development on the border of St. Charles and Geneva will get water and sewer services from Geneva.

GENEVA, IL -- A three-unit townhouse development in St. Charles will be connected to water and sewer service in Geneva as part of an intergovernmental agreement between the two towns. The Parkside Reserves project is located on a vacant half-acre lot at 1337 Geneva Road in St. Charles, which is on the border of Geneva and St. Charles, the Kane County Chronicle reports. The developer of Parkside Reserves wants to get hooked up to Geneva’s water system since it will be cheaper than connecting to St. Charles’ services, which would require an expensive main extension.

Under the agreement approved at a Dec. 17 Geneva City Council meeting, the developer would be responsible for all costs associated with connecting to Geneva’s water line. Future residents of Parkside Reserves will pay for the same water and sewer rates as Geneva residents, according to Kane County Chronicle.
